We invest a vast amount of time and effort, along with passion, care, technical expertise and diligence in each and every record release to ensure we achieve the very best. We’re incredibly proud of our reputation and clients will be kept honestly updated throughout the complex process of production.

Our vinyl pressing service is one of the quickest in the UK to supply vinyl records from start to finish – it takes us about 4 weeks to supply test pressings and then a further 4 weeks for the main pressing.

100 is the minimum.

3 weeks for Test Pressings & once approved a further 3 weeks for the main pressing and delivery.

This is the norm although we can undertake works in just a few weeks if needs be.

We can undertake both. Lacquers are all processed and cut inhouse, whereas DMM is undertaken by an approved specialist.

There is little between the two in terms of sound quality and most works are undertaken through the Lacquer process although DMM might be a more preferred route for classical, jazz or vocal acoustics.

We will of course give you our professional opinion if asked.

Yes

7″ @ 33 1/3 RPM: 6 minutes per side. (we can cut longer depending upon the music, however, please consult with us before placing your order). NOTE: 45rpm is always the best choice for a 7″, if side length permits. 33rpm is more of a “compromise”, and can be more prone to distortion.

7″ @ 45 RPM: 4.5 minutes per side. (we can cut longer depending upon the music, however, please consult with us before placing your order).

10” @ 33 1/3 RPM:

10” @ 45 RPM:

12″ @ 33 1/3 RPM: 18 minutes per side is ideal, 20 minutes per side is still good, 22 minutes per side may cause issues depending upon the music, anything over 22 minutes – please call us before placing your order.

12″ @ 45 RPM: 12 minutes per side is ideal, 14 minutes is ok, anything over 15 minutes – please call us before placing your order.

Please Remember: The lacquer cutter’s job is to cut as flat as possible, in an effort to make the cut sound as close as possible to the provided master. Therefore, adjustments to the master to make it appropriate for the vinyl format need to be made at the mastering session — not at the point of the lacquer cut. If a master is provided that is pushing some element to the outer limits; such as vocals for example– chances are those pushed vocals are going to stick out much more on the vinyl record than on the digital master. For these reasons, it is very important that you provide a master that has been adequately prepared for the vinyl format.

If you are providing your audio master we prefer either 96/24 bit wav files.

These can be provided by electronic transfer using the likes of WeTransfer or you can send us a physical copy on USB or CD if you prefer.

No, but they are highly recommended as they are representative of the records we’ll be supplying.

They can also be quite sought after as they are the very first pressing.

Polyvinyl Chloride also known as PVC

180 gram records are of a higher quality, are less likely to bend and will last longer than a 140-gram record. Besides that, 180-gram Records feel better and are generally preferred in the vinyl community although do cost a little more. However, the sound quality is the same.

Yes and we have approximately 100 colours to choose from. Please ask for our colour chart.

Yes, Records are available in a whole host of colours (100+) and styles including dayglow, fluorescent, metallics. Then there are other effects/ finishes ranging from Marble, Splatters, Half-and-Half or even different colours on each side. Obviously the more colours or the more complex the chances are there may well be some additional costs although we can tailor that to your particular project.

Yes, we will undertake as much or as little as you want.

The vast majority of records we manufacture are completely finished and ready for sale/ distribution i.e. all fully printed, packed and wrapped which includes posters.

Picture Discs are made with printed labels which have the vinyl sandwiched and a layer of plastic laminate added to which the grooves are pressed into. Although these are audibly inferior to standard vinyl, they are still OK to play but the impact is in the visual effect and are often collected for this very reason.

As a conservative estimate we can press approximately 5,000 12” records a day.

Yes, we are happy to print inner sleeves.

When listening to your tests, you should be checking to make sure the songs are in the correct order. You should also check for any sound quality issues. The reason you are sent multiple copies of your tests is so you can compare any quality issues to see if they appear consistently in the same spot on each test pressing.

You can check your test pressing on any turntable you have available, however we wouldn’t recommend using a portable turntable or very low quality models. In the event of you finding an issue do try on another perhaps better turntable to see if the problem persists. It might just be a quirk with that turntable or it’s configuration.
